Christopher Lee Crites, 40, of Rt. 4, Box 543, Keyser, WV, died Thursday, April 24, 2008 at the Memorial Campus of the WMHS of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Born on May 17, 1967 at Youngstown, Ohio, he was a son of Harry Crites Jr "Paige"and Shirley A. "Sherry" (Bobo) Crites of Rawlings, MD. He was preceded in death by a nephew, Kyle Crites and a special sister, Carol Miller.
Mr. Crites was formerly employed as a truck driver with Quality Supply and Thomas Construction. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman and greatly enjoyed boating, riding motorcycles and four-wheeling. He reveled in being able to go to his son's motorcycle races and share with him the joy of being his father. His family was very important to him, and his dedication to them was evident in the last few years as he grew closer to each of them.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his wife of 17 years, Susan Lenee (Bartlett) Crites; one son who was the pride of his life, Lee Devin Crites, at home; two brothers, Harry P. Crites, III and wife Nancy of Crossville, TN and Mark E. Crites and wife Lori of Rawlings; two sisters, Shirley Delaine Clites of Rawlings and Cindy Dale Crites of Cumberland, MD; a special sister, Brenda Miller of Rawlings and ten nieces and nephews, Courtney Jean Clites, Kayla Dee Quinn, Mike Patrick Flanagan, Justine Jean Clites, Bobby Dale Clites, Tyler Crites, Josh Crites, Allie Crites, Stephanie Keller and Krystal Keller and a large number of close friends and hunting buddies.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Sunday, April 27 from 7-9 p.m. and on Monday, April 28 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Tuesday, April 29 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Daniel Sears and Rev. Otis Lancaster officiating.
Interment will be in the Biertown Cemetery, Rawlings, MD.
