Vienna F. Rohrbaugh
BURLINGTON — Vienna F. Rohrbaugh, 87, of Burlington, W.Va., died Monday, June 22, 2009, at the Braddock Campus of the WMHS, Cumberland, Md.
Born on June 4, 1922, at Bass, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Lemuel Price and Anna Mae (Rohrbaugh) Wolfe. She also was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Rohrbaugh, on March 28, 2009; two sons, an infant, Robert Lee Rohrbaugh and John David Rohrbaugh; two brothers, Lemuel Armond Wolfe and Albert Paige Wolfe; and four sisters, Eunice Smith, Marie High, Pauline Wilt and Minnie Wolfe.
Mrs. Rohrbaugh was employed with the Glen L. Martin Aircraft Corporation in Baltimore, Md., during World War II. She then worked for the Celanese Amcelle Corporation and retired from the dietary department at Hampshire Memorial Hospital in Romney, W.Va., with 19 years of service.
She was a 1941 graduate of Moorefield High School and was a member of the Beaver Run Church of the Brethren, Burlington.
Surviving are two daughters, Patty Jean Knotts and husband Chuck of Keyser and Debra Susan Ratliff and husband Allen of Burlington; one brother, Randolph Wolfe of Moorefield; three sisters, Katie Shockey and Genevieve Malcolm, both of Moorefield, and Edith Ferrebee of Stephens City, Va.; eight grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Burlington Chapel, on Friday, June 26, 2009, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Burlington Chapel, on Saturday, June 27, 2009, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Preston J. Miller officiating.
Interment will be in the Thrush Cemetery, Antioch, W.Va.
