Nina Louise Daniels, 84, of 207 Central Ave, Westernport and formerly of Moorefield, WV, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2008 at her residence.
Born November 7, 1923 in Luke, she was the daughter of the late William L. and Essie (Harshbarger) Ferguson. Three brothers, Clyde, Don Ivan, and Gerald Ferguson, and a sister, Gladys Harrison, also preceded her in death. She was the last survivor of her immediate family.
Mrs. Daniels was a 1941 graduate of Bruce High School, and was a homemaker. She was a member of Westernport United Methodist Church, Vine St, where she was formerly the church secretary, a former Sunday School Teacher, and a former member of the church choir. During her years spent in Moorefield, she was a member of Duffy Memorial United Methodist Church, where she participated in prayer group. Nina was also active with the Hardy County Habitat for Humanity, and the Moorefield Active Caring House. She was well known for weaving rugs.
She leaves behind her husband of 59 years, John “Danny” Daniels, one son, Tom Allen Daniels of Burlington, WV, two daughters, Susan Ray Biddle and husband Allen of Keyser, WV, and Linda DeVore and friend Pat Minogue of Westernport. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Darrell Wildesen, Julie Derham, Justin Wildesen, John T. Daniels, Ashley Daniels and Heather Windle, and nine great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home chapel on Tuesday at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Ted Osgood and Rev. Sandy Cowan officiating.
Interment will be in Philos Cemetery, Westernport.
