Bernice F. Kalbaugh, 89, of Elk Garden, died Monday, August 11, 2008 at home in Elk Garden, WV.
Born May 22, 1919 in Nethken, she was a daughter of the late Charles Fout Sr. and Birdie Mae (Liller) Fout. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul D. Kalbaugh, brothers Lawrence, Ray and Charles Fout and sisters Inez Derring, Zona Dixon and Norma Fout.
Mrs. Kalbaugh was a homemaker for her husband and seven children. After her children were raised she worked at Heck’s. Mrs. Kalbaugh was a member of the Nethken Hill Methodist Church and Women's Christian Society
Surviving are five daughters, Paula Bishop and husband Charlie of Glencoe, Illinois, Patricia Bosley, Burlington, WV, Elaine Zimmerman and husband Jim, Oakland, Maryland, Vickie Minnich and husband Dave, Keyser, WV, and Amie of Elk Garden, WV; two sons, Charles [Sam] Kalbaugh and wife Sandy of Copley, OH and Gary Kalbaugh and wife Janet of Keyser. Also surviving are two brothers, Eston [Jiggs] and Dale Fout, both of New Creek; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, P.A., 710 Church St., Kitzmiller, Maryland on Thursday August 14, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at Nethken Hill United Methodist Church, Elk Garden, on Friday, August 15, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Ross Glotfelty officiating.
Interment will follow in Kalbaugh Cemetery.
