Marshal “Tom” Bothwell
Marshall C. "Tom" Bothwell, 74, of Green Street, Westernport, MD, went home to be with the Lord and to be reunited with his loving wife Dottie, on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at the Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser, WV.
Born on October 25, 1935 at Keyser, WV, he was a son of Dessie R. (Sears) Bothwell, a resident of Heartland of Keyser Nursing Home and the late Marshall E. Bothwell. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Dottie (Clark) Bothwell on November 30, 2000; a sister, Shirley Smith and a grandson, Bradley Shaw.
Mr. Bothwell was retired from the Quality Control Dept. at the Westvaco Luke Mill with over 40 years of service. He was a 1953 graduate of Piedmont High School and was a US Marine Corps veteran serving from 1953-57. He was a member of the Second Baptist Church, Keyser and the American Heritage Society.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are one son, Tom Bothwell and wife
Sherry of Barton, MD; two daughters, Debbie Bailey and husband Bobby of Pembroke Pines, FL and Diana Shaw of Sunrise, FL; one brother, Ronnie Bothwell and wife Patty of Burlington, WV; seven grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Alex, Kyleigh and Kassidy Bothwell, Shannon Hochman and husband Andrew, Matt Shaw and Sarah Lyon and three great-grandchildren, Landen, Megan and Jordan.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Monday, February 1, 2010 from 7-9 p.m. and on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 from 2-4 &7-9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Samuel Biser and Pastor Daniel Biser officiating.
