Donald M. Staggs
KEYSER - Donald Mohler Staggs, 84, of Keyser, W.Va., died Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010, at Heartland of Keyser Nursing Home.
Born on March 15, 1925, in Mineral County, W.Va., he was a son of the late James Washington and Ida Belle (Jackson) Staggs. He also was preceded in death by three brothers, Ernest, Robert and Harry Staggs.
Mr. Staggs was a self employed brick mason for 45 years and was a US Army veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Euretha Catherine (Cash) Staggs; three sons, Jerry Donald Staggs and wife Judith of Columbus, Ohio, David Michael Staggs and wife Cynthia of Keyser and Stephen Douglas Staggs and wife Julie of Burlington, W.Va.; one daughter, Patricia Gail Heishman and husband Robert of Knoxville, Tenn.;  one brother, Thomas Staggs and wife Hilda of Oceanside, Calif.; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
At Mr. Staggs' request there will be no public visitation or services.
The Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
