Paul B. Smith
BALTIMORE, Md. - Paul Brown Smith, 82, of Pulaski Highway, Baltimore, passed away Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, at the Baltimore Veterans Administration Medical Center.
Born Dec. 21, 1928, in Luke, he was the son of the late Loy and Mary Elsie (Ritchie) Smith. His wife, Ella Ruth (Ervin) Smith, and a sister, Betty Friend, also preceded him in death.
Mr. Smith was a United States Army veteran, having served during World War II. He was a retired mechanic, having worked for Anchor Motor Freight, Baltimore. He was also a member of the Winnebago Club.
He leaves behind three sons, William Smith, Richard Smith of Baltimore, Terry Lee Smith of Baltimore; one daughter, Susan Radcliffe of Springfield, Mass.;, three brothers, Raymond Smith of Westernport, Donald Smith of Reeses Mill, W.Va., and Harold Smith of Luke; and several grand and great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home chapel on Wednesday at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Steffan Carr officiating.
Interment will be in Philos Cemetery, Westernport.
