Margaret V. Lewis
KEYSER - Margaret Virginia Lewis, 92, of D Street, Keyser, W.Va., died Sunday, March 7, 2010, at the Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser.
Born on Dec. 17, 1917, at Keyser, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Albert and Alice (Crites) Rotruck. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Roy J. Lewis, on Jan. 29, 1982; a daughter, Barbara Mills; two grandsons, William Eubanks and Scott Calhoun; two brothers, Edward and Vernon "Dick" Rotruck and three sisters, Eva Hershey, Mary Crawford and Viola Rotruck.
Mrs. Lewis was a loving mother, grandmother and homemaker and in her early years, and attended the Duling United Methodist Church, Keyser.
Surviving are two sons, Leroy J. Lewis and wife Jerri of Holsopple, Pa., and Marshall L. Lewis and wife Gail of Modesto, Calif.; four daughters, Sandra D. "Sue" Burns and husband Bill of Keyser, Phyllis L. Leatherman and husband Jim of Keyser, Lana J. Liller and Carl Tacy of Grafton, W.Va., and Deborah L. Calhoun and husband Jimmy of Hurricane, W.Va.; one sister, Hilda Staggs and husband Thomas of Oceanside, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Wednesday, March 10, 2010, from noon to 2 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday immediately following the visitation at 2 p.m.
Interment will be in the Duling Cemetery, Keyser.
