Frances Madeline Caldwell, 81, of Rt. 6, Keyser, WV, died Saturday, April 19, 2008 at the Heartland of Keyser Nursing Home.
Born on December 12, 1926 at Champwood, WV, she was a daughter of the late Charles W. and Mary Belle (Twigg) Staggs. She also was preceded in death by her husband, George E. "Jug" Caldwell on March 18, 2002 and a brother, Harry Staggs.
Mrs. Caldwell was retired as a seamstress with both the Perfection Garment Company and Sew-Rite Lingerie of Keyser. She attended the Fountain United Brethren in Christ Church.
Surviving are one brother, Charles Herbert Staggs and wife Ann of Keyser; two sisters, Geraldine Hamilton of Ridgeley, WV and Pauline Dante of Keyser and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Tuesday, April 22 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Wednesday, April 23 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Daryl M. Elliott officiating.
Interment will be in the Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
