KEYSER, W.Va. -

Ronnie W. Oglesbee, 63, of Airport Street, Keyser, WV, died Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at the Memorial Campus of the WMHS, Cumberland, MD.
Born on November 4, 1944 at Richmond, VA, he was a son of Ruth Maxine (Oglesbee) Dolan, a resident of Heartland of Keyser Nursing Home. He was preceded in death by his grandparents who reared him, Arthur Wesley "Amtrak" and Pauline Belle (Crane) Oglesbee and a half brother, Patrick Dolan.
A Catholic by faith, Mr. Oglesbee was formerly employed with Penn Ventilator in Keyser with 29 years of service and retired from American Woodmark in Moorefield, WV. He was an avid gun and firearms enthusiast and enjoyed reloading and buying, selling and collecting all types of firearms. He was a US Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and was a member of Nancy Hanks Post # 3518, VFW, Keyser and Kelly-Mansfield Post # 52, American Legion, Piedmont, WV. He was also an avid Harley Davidson motorcycle enthusiast and was a member of the NRA and the Upper Potomac Rod and Gun Club.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his former wife, Patricia Oglesbee; four children, John W. Oglesbee and fiancée, Holly Alt of Keyser, Megan D. Oglesbee of Keyser, Terra R. (Oglesbee) Gibbs and husband Joe of Fort Drum, NY and Wes Marshall of Keyser; a half sister, Denise Simone of Petersburg, WV; three grandchildren, Gavin K. Oglesbee, Aydin E. Gibbs and Alex Marshall and two nephews, Jesse and Travis Ferrell.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Friday, June 20 from 6-9 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Assumption, Keyser, on Saturday, June 21 at 10:30 a.m. with Father James Hannon as celebrant.
Interment will be in the St. Thomas Cemetery, Keyser.
