Virginia “Teenie” Russell
KEYSER - Virginia S. "Teenie" Russell, 81, of Keyser, W.Va., died Sunday, March 14, 2010, at the residence of her cavegiver, Mary Colson.
Born on Sept. 2, 1928, at Petersburg, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Charles and Lucretia J. (Mayle) George. She also was preceded in death by her husband, George V. Russell, on De. 28, 1987; two sisters, Alice Wickline and Beulah Butler; four brothers, Perle "Pete" George, Edward George, Ralph "Bud" George and Harry George; and a half brother, Noah Zirk.
Mrs. Russell was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Mrs. Russell was a homemaker and was Baptist by faith.
Surviving are her best friends and caregivers, Mary and Harvey Colson of Keyser; and several nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Wednesday, March 17, 2010, from 2-4 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted immediately following the visitation on Wednesday at 4 p.m. with Pastor Jody Bean officiating.
Interment will be in the Newhouse Cemetery, Rig, W.Va.
