CUMBERLAND, Md.—Carolyn Ann Shook, 62, of Cumberland, passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2010, at WMHS-RMC.
Born Sept. 13, 1947, in Keyser, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late John Ersel Thomas Sr. and Mary Louise (Murphy) Thomas.
Mrs. Shook worked in the Data Entry Department at Scared Heart Hospital. She enjoyed camping, going shopping and decorating.
Surviving are her husband, Clarence Shook; four daughters, Jennifer Lindner and husband Gene, Beverly Bible and fiancé Jimbo Schade, Brenda Warren and husband Chris, Tina VanMeter and husband Billy; one brother, John Ersel Thomas Jr. and wife Janet; one nephew, John Scott Thomas and wife Misty; one niece, Kelly Stanislawczyk and husband Jay; cousins Jacob, Alex, Ashtin and Adrianna; six grandchildren, Richard Haines Jr., Chris Warren Jr., Amy Warren, Brian Whetzel, Kristina VanMeter, Billy VanMeter Jr.; and two great-grandchildren, Jayden Haines and Brooke Haines.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 15205 McMullen Highway, Cresaptown, (http://www.scarpellifuneralhomes.com) on Wednesday, March 17, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday, March 18, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Sherry Ziler officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Scott Thomas, Billy VanMeter, Stevie Shook, Chris Warren, Jay Stanislawczyk and Curtis Kesner.
