Evelyn R. Manns
Keyser, WV. -- Evelyn R. Manns, 85, of 1325 Cornell St, Keyser, passed away Friday March 12, 2010 at Heartland of Keyser Nursing Home, where she had been a resident.
Born January 11, 1925 in Greenock, PA, she was the daughter of the late Julius and Matilda (Greshna) McKee.
Mrs. Manns was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Keyser, where she was a member of the choir for 35 years and altar guild secretary for 10 years. She was formerly the executive secretary of the Mineral County Chamber of Commerce from 1974 to 1984. She was also a member of the Busy Bees Homemakers Club, Keyser. She was the former secretary to the president of the Union National Bank in McKeesport, PA.
She leaves behind her husband of 61 years, William H. Manns, one son, William G. Manns of Colorado, two daughters, Diann Manns of Keyser, and Susie Divelbliss of McCoole, MD. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Lucas Manns and Nick Manns, both of California, and William L. Manns of Utah.
The family will receive friends at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Keyser, on Tuesday from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service with Holy Communion will follow at 1:00 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Sally Bartling officiating.
Interment will be in the Peace Lutheran Church Cemetery, Greenock, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Trinity Lutheran Church, N. Davis St, Keyser, WV, 26726.
