Clinton A. “Buddy” Green
PIEDMONT - Clifton A. “Buddy” Green, 90, formerly of 104 Erin St., Piedmont, and most recently of Moran Manor Nursing Home, Westernport, Md., passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at WMHS Braddock Campus, Cumberland, Md.
Born Feb. 14, 1919, in Piedmont, he was raised by the late Davis and Annie (Addison) Price.  His wife, Doris (Freeman) Green, two brothers, Nate and Charles Green, and three sisters, Mary Gilmore, Margaret Thompson and Ida Twyman, also preceded him in death.
Mr. Green was a United States Army veteran, having served during World War II.  He was a member of Walden United Methodist Church, Piedmont, a member of Potomac Lodge #41, Keyser, a member of the former Aubrey-Stewart V.F.W., Piedmont, a member of Kelly Mansfield Post #52 American Legion, Piedmont, and a member of Queens Point V.F.W. #6775, McCoole, Md.
He leaves behind three sons, Preston Green and wife Etta of Dayton, Ohio, Clifton A. “Butch” Green and wife Cheryl of Cincinnati, Ohio, Kenn Green and wife Cindy of Dallas, Texas; a brother, Lawrence Green and wife Lillian of Goldsborough, N.C.; and five sisters, Mary Cromer, Virginia DeMeritt, Virgie Redman, Phyllis Hooker, and Beverly Washington; and a devoted niece Amanda Barnett.  He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, Md., on Tuesday, June 30, from 6-8 p.m. 
A funeral service will be conducted at Trinity United Methodist Church, Piedmont, on Wednesday, July 1, at 11 a.m., with Bishop Henderson Wheeler officiating. Interment will be in Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
