Eva Grace Pyles, 74, of Short Gap, died Friday, August 22,2008 at Memorial Hopsital.
Born November 4,1933 in Springfield, she was the daughter of the late Homer R. Didawick, Sr., and Jessie P. (Long) Didawick.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Homer R. "Dick" Didawick, Jr., and her sister, Frances Brelsford.
She was Methodist by faith and belonged to the Ladies Auxliary, Fort Ashby Post #6667, V.F.W.
Mrs. Pyles was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a tireless caregiver, always meeting the needs of her family.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Raymond Pyles; two sons, Gary Pyles, and wife Linda, Warner Robins, GA, and James Pyles, and wife Sharon Broadwater Pyles, Flintstone; four sisters, Marie Shrout, Fountain, Elsie Bergdoll, Romney, Isabelle Spiker, Everett, PA, and Betty Shrout, Short Gap; four grandchildren, Tricia Wilbourn,and husband J.B., Jeff Pyles,and wife Nicole, Joe Pyles,and Jeremy Pyles, and wife Miranda; and six great, grandchildren, Cole, Mark, Madeline, Joshua, Grayson, and Dusty.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, Inc., Route 28, Fort Ashby, WV (1-888-724-2251) on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
The funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 AM, with Rev. Eric Weaver and Rev. Larry Shrout, officiating.
Interment will be in Fort Ashby Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Pyles, Joe Pyles, Jeremy Pyles, J.B. Wilbourn, Jim Files, and Kenny Bennett.
