Bernice L. Guinn
Barton, Md. — Bernice Leona Guinn, 87, of Barton, passed away Sunday June 7, 2009 at WMHS Memorial Campus, Cumberland.
Born May 13, 1922 in Swanton, she was the daughter of the late Gorman and Pearl E. Broadwater. Her husband in 1968, John David Guinn, and a daughter, Evelyn Duckworth also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Guinn was a homemaker.
She leaves behind five sons, John Guinn JR of LaVale, Fred Guinn of Keyser, WV, Robert Guinn of Westernport, Richard Guinn of Keyser, WV, and Billy Joe Guinn of Westernport, three daughters, Mary Guinn of Barton, Rachael McCloud of Keyser, WV, and Dorothy Wilt of Westernport. She is also survived by a brother, Russell Broadwater of Barton, a sister, Helen Thomas of Baltimore, twenty seven grandchildren, sixty two great grandchildren, and fourteen great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive at the Boal Memorial Chapel, Barton, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at the Boal Chapel on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Samuel Biser officiating.
Interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills.
