James R. Brafford, 68, of Stoney Road, Keyser, WV, died Saturday, April 19, 2008 at the Memorial Campus of the WMHS, Cumberland, MD.
Born on January 12, 1940 at Burlington, WV, he was a son of Ruby Elizabeth (Walker) Brafford of Keyser, WV and the late Homer Jackson Brafford. He also was preceded in death by his brother, Jack J. Brafford.
Mr. Brafford was retired from Prichard's Wholesale Supply Company in Keyser with 33 years of service. He was a 1958 graduate of Keyser High School and attended the Branch Full Gospel Church in McCoole, MD.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife of 49 years, Charlotte K. (Spurling) Brafford; three sons, Stephen R. Brafford and wife Penny of Keyser, Roger A. Brafford and wife Janet and Ray E. Brafford and wife Trish, all of Burlington; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Wednesday, April 23 from 6-9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Thursday, April 24 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Baker "Jack" Lease officiating.
Interment will be in the Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
