Eston “Jiggs” Fout
NEW CREEK, W.Va. - Eston “Jiggs” Ellsworth Fout, 87 of New Creek, W.Va., died Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010, at Potomac Valley Hospital.
Born Feb. 20, 1923, in Shaw, W.Va., he was the son of the late Charles Fout Sr. and Bertie (Liller) Fout.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Ray Fout, Charles Fout and Lawrence Fout; by four sisters, Norma Louise Fout, Inez Frasier, Zona Dixon and Bernice Kalbaugh.
Mr. Fout was retired from Youngstown Steel Mill. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, serving in England, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. He was awarded four Battle Stars, Bronze Arrowhead, Presidential Unit Citation and the Combat Infantry Badge. He was an avid bow hunter, fisherman and Ginseng pursuer.
Surviving are his brother, Dale Fout of New Creek, W.Va.; and sister-in-law, Wilma Fout of New Creek, W.Va.
The family will receive friends at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, P.A., 710 Church St., Kitzmiller, Md. on Tuesday, March 2, from noon until 2 p.m.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2010, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Vicki Minnich officiating.
Interment will be in Kalbaugh Cemetery.
