KEYSER – The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning from now until 7 p.m. Sunday in Mineral and Allegany counties.
An accumulation of eight inches or more of snow is expected by Sunday. The snow will increase in coverage and intensity this evening (Friday) and continue overnight. Temperatures are expected in the mid 20s, with winds from 20-30 mph, gusting up to 45 mph.
A winter storm warning means significant amounts of snow sleet and ice are expected or occuring, making travel very hazardous.
