SARAH's House gets $35,000 from state

KEYSER — Local legislators and staff from Burlington United Methodist Family Services attended an award ceremony on Sunday, Aug. 11, where SARAH’S House (Sexual Abuse Response And Help) was awarded a $35,000 grant from the State of West Virginia. 
These funds are used for a facility based community partnership which provides intake, investigation, and follow-up services for victims of child abuse ages 3-17 in Mineral County. 
The SARAH’S House Project, which opened its doors in August 2007, continues in the mission to create a safe community for children and families by preventing and responding to child abuse
through teamwork, collaboration and services. 
SARAH’S House is a collaborative effort between local agencies to provide physically- and sexually- abused children with counseling services in a comfortable, non threatening location which is child focused and child friendly.
