WESTERNPORT -- The October meeting was the second time for planning the 2010 Alumni weekend. 
President Ruby Broadwater is keeping the meetings on track and staying with her agenda so that the meetings are  staying within the  hour. The secretary report was read and the treasurer report was given.
The classes that participated in the silent auction and the bidders did such a great job that there were enough donations to have Queen City Funk and Soul during the weekend.
This band is a Cumberland based band but has two local fellows that will be celebrating their reunions this year: Tom Harrison, Bruce High School 1970, and Jim Roderick, 1970 Piedmont High School.
We are hoping the public will come out and support them.
Both gentleman were instrumental in bringing the music together and putting the final touches on their CD. titled 'The Journey," which is a collection of great soul, funk and R&B favorites from the 1960s and "70s.
 As of now we cannot find anyone to head the annual T-shirt program. If you can help, please contact Ruby. The shirts in the past have been great and our goal is to see that all attend the weekend are wearing them.
Last year’s shirt had a photo of the first Bruce High on Church Street. You andyour committee can design your own.
The November meeting was held Nov. 10th (always the second Tuesday of the month).  It was held at the Westernport City Building at 5 p.m.
The first reading of the Alumni News letter that is sent out in 2010 was the focus.
