She and her husband Wilson K. Wallace, MD, live in Micco, Fla., with their two parrots. They have two children, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A retired nurse, Karen was the office administrator for Bedotto-Wallace, MD, in Boca Raton, Fla., from 1987 until 2007, when her husband retired from his practice.
The two are avid gardeners, concentrating on orchids and hibiscus. Karen is a member of OES Chapter #10 Frostburg, and the First United Methodist Church, Vero Beach, Fla.
She and her husband are active in ophthalmologic missionary work, their most recent trips being to Honduras last summer and British Guyana before that.
They also love to travel and have visited many parts of the world.
