MARTINSBURG — A Keyser man was among nine individuals sentenced this week in United States District Court in Martinsburg by Chief Judge John Preston Bailey.
Timothy D. Imperio, age 28, of Keyser, West Virginia, was sentenced to 30 months imprisonment to be followed by three years supervised release.
Imperio entered a plea of guilty on April 28 to one count of an indictment charging him with perjury after appearing before a federal grand jury in September 2008 and testifying falsely concerning his knowledge about the drug trafficking activities and his own involvement in those activities.
Imperio is in federal custody. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Thomas O. Mucklow.
The case was investigated by the Potomac Highlands Drug & Violent Crime Task Force, consisting of officers from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, West Virginia State Police - Bureau of Criminal Investigations, and Mineral County Sheriff’s Department.
