KEYSER — A Mineral County Grand Jury indicted former Piedmont town clerk Linda Butler with embezzlement Tuesday, as the jurors handed down 51 indictments  in a particularly busy start to the September 2009 term of court.
Butler, who resigned from the clerk's position in August 2006 at the request of Mayor Ebbie Gilmore, was initially charged in November of last year with embezzling over $35,000 in town funds. An state audit of Piedmont's records for fiscal year 2005-2006 had revealed $36,022.85 in missing funds.
Butler turned herself in to Mineral County Magistrate Court in November and was released on $2,500 bond.
The remaining indictments Tuesday included:
Edward Junior McDaniel, 19, of 46 Lamont St., Cumberland, third degree sexual assault.
Karlyn Sue Love, 39, of Route 2, Ridgeley, two counts of malicious
assault on a government  representative, one count of battery on a government representative (misdemeanor), and one count of fleeing from an officer involving an injury.
Nicole Ruth Adams, 28, of 3 Ridgeley St., Ridgeley, burglary and grand larceny.
Jason Bernard Seib, 31, of 17600 Dans Rock Road SW, Frostburg, burglary and grand larceny.
Donald Grant Cosner, 36, of Potomac Highlands Regional Jail, Augusta, making threats of terrorist acts, two counts of battery on a government representative, one misdemeanor count each of battery, assault, fleeing or attempting to flee by any means other than a vehicle, and possession of a controlled substance.
Cassandra Lee Cadle, 21, of 111 Pennsylvania Ave., Cumberland, burglary and misdemeanor petit larcleny.
Timothy Alan Wilson, 46, of 1166 Pleasant Valley Rd., Fairmont, failure to meet an obligation to provide child support.
Robert Paul Thomas, 52, of 630 Carskadon Lane, Keyser, third offense DUI.
Jeremy Monroe Rogers, 26, of Route 6, Keyser, burglary and misdemeanor petit larceny, attempted burglary, attempted grand larceny, misdemeanor fleeing from an officer in a vehicle and reckless driving.
Dixie Lee Grimm, 52, of Route 6, Keyser,two counts of third offense shoplifting.
Jamey Allen Tallman, 37, of Potomac Highlands Regional Jail, Augusta, escape from custody, misdemeanor charges of battery on a government representative, assault on a health care worker, assault on a government representative, and obstructing.
Christa Dawn Ravenscroft, 32, of 337 ½ Oak St., Keyser, three counts each of forgery and uttering, misdemeanor unlawful taking of motor vehicle, two counts of misdemeanor larceny, one count each of  fraudulent use of a credit card and unlawful taking of a motor vehicle.
Jason Edward Davis, 37, of 1065 Carolina Ave., Keyser, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, transporting a controlled substance into the state with intent to deliver, two counts of misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance.
David Gordon Ratcliff, 43, of Rawlings, Md., four counts each of uttering and obtaining drugs by misrepresentation, three counts of misdemeanor possession of controlled substance.
Jeanne R. Ratcliff, 29, of Rawlings, four counts each of forgery and obtaining drugs by misrepresentation principal in the second degree, and three counts of misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance principal in the second degree.
Jeffrey T. Cope, 35, of Route 4, Ridgeley, embezzlement.
Matthew Shane Sites, 21, of 200 Jefferson Ave., Petersburg, burglary and misdemeanor petit larceny.
Keith Leroy Wilt, 33, of 31 ½ Spring St., Keyser,  breaking and entering,  two counts of burglary, grand larceny, and two counts of misdemeanor petit larceny.
Edward Luke Vanmeter Jr., 25, of 21020 McMullen Hwy. SW, Rawlings, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance.
Michael Steven Ray Jr., 29, 226 S. Water St., Keyser, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, transporting a controlled substance into the state with intent to deliver.
Carrie Ann Oates (aka Murphy), 43, of Route 5, Keyser, four counts each of obtaining a controlled substance by misrepresentation or fraud and misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance.
Hawke Anthony Coffman, 19, of Mill Meadow Trailer Park, Keyser, delivery of a controlled substance and misdemeanor count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Christopher James Kesner, 36, of Route. 6, Keyser, third offense DUI, a felony.
Kenneth Ray Kesner, 49, of Fort Ashby, three counts of second degree sexual assault.
Tina Marie Kesner, 41, of Fort Ashby, three counts of being a principal second degree to second degree sexual assault, detaining with intent to defile, and misdemeanor battery.
Richard Allen Nield, 48, of Wiley Ford, felony manufacturing of a controlled substance.
Leon Taylor Jr., of Elmtree Street, Baltimore, felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and felony transport of a controlled substance into the state with intent to deliver.
Melissa Dawn Smith, 38, of 125 1/2 Church St., Westernport, burglary, two felony counts of forgery, two felony counts of fraudulent use of a credit card and felony grand larceny.
Christopher A. Slack, 24, of Route 6, Keyser, third offense domestic battery, misdemeanor battery on a government representative, two counts of obstructing, one misdemeanor count of phone harassment.
Patricia Yvonne Paugh, 49, of Route 1, Elk Garden, third offense domestic battery.
David Eugene Paugh, 47, of Route 1, Elk Garden, for third offense of driving while license revoked for DUI.
Richard Wayne Cleaver, 21, of Keyser, three counts of forgery, three counts of uttering (both felonies), and three counts of petit larceny, a misdemeanor.
Timothy Wayne Smith, no age given, of 312 North 4th St., Clarksburg, two counts of first degree sexual abuse, a felony, and sexual abuse by a custodian, also a felony.
George Luckus, no age given, of 14117 Cedarwood Dr. SW, Cumberland, nine counts of  possession of material depicting minors in sexually explicit conduct.
