KEYSER, W.Va. -

LeAnne Morris was presented with her new Mother’s Ring Saturday, the day before Mother’s Day, by Mark Clements.
LeAnne was the winning mother, thanks to her daughter Chloe. Chloe wrote the letter that was chosen as the winner as shown in the Wednesday, May 7 edition of the Mineral Daily News-Tribune.
Clements’ Jewelers sponsored the prize of a 14 karat gold Mother’s Ring.  Clements told the News-Tribune that the neat thing about this whole deal is, one stipulation to have the ring for Mother’s Day was for the recipient to come in for fitting by the Wednesday 6 p.m. cut-off ordering deadline at the manufacturer.
LeAnne was not able to come in until Thursday. Clements phoned the order in immediately and was told that there was no way the order would be here before Mother’s Day.
Friday, Clements received a phone call from the company stating the order was complete but confirmed he would not have it in time.
Clements explained the contest and the health situation that Chloe had been through.  The representative at the factory decided on her own to send the ring overnight FedEx with Saturday delivery — which is somewhat costly and they (the company) would pay the shipping costs.
Saturday, the ring showed up, LeAnne was called, and the ring was presented that afternoon, the day before Mother’s Day.
Clements feels that this shows there is still love in the world from the News-Tribune and Clements’ Jewelers in Keyser, West Virginia — and coming all the way from Los Angeles, California.
