9:11 p.m. — Tyler S. Crites, 20, of Keyser, turned himself in at the Keyser Police Department, on a bail-related issue. He was taken into custody and transferred to judicial authorities.
9:26 p.m. — As a followup to an incident that occurred Thursday night, Keyser Police officers arrested Kurt M. Rogers, 18, of Rochester, N.Y., and charged him with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. He was the second Potomac State College student charged with the offense as a result of a traffic stop and subsequent search of a PSC dorm room by Keyser Police.
Saturday, Jan. 16
1:24 a.m. — Keyser Police were contacted by representatives of a bar on West Piedmont Street, after a man who had been refused admittance for being intoxicated, continued to loiter outside the establishment. Police responded and charged Louis A. Biddle, 54, of Keyser, with public intoxication.
4:29 p.m. — Keyser Police responded to the 200 block of North Water Street for a report of a hit and run. Officers were advised that the car which had struck the victim's vehicle was parked just down the street. Upon contacting the owner, he said he was unaware that he had struck another car. Charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident was Shaun P. Dorsey, 50, of Keyser.
Sunday, Jan. 17
3:03 a.m. — While on patrol on Armstrong Street, officers observed two subjects who appeared to be intoxicated in a verbal altercation. They attempted to escort one subject home, but she refused to get in the police cruiser. Subsequently charged with public intoxication and possession of a prescription narcotic was Amanda R. Kimble, 27, of Keyser. Also arrested was Brandon R. Miller, 23, of Keyser, who was charged with public intoxication and carrying a concealed deadly weapon in the form of brass knuckles.
12:29 p.m. — Officers responded to a video store on West Piedmont Street for a report of an adult shoplifter. Charged with shoplifting a $20 item was Sandra M. August, 40, of Keyser.
Monday, Jan. 18
8:31 p.m. — Officers responded to the 90 block of Ward Avenue for a report of an apartment burglary. An estimated $950 worth of items were stolen. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Keyser City Police at 304-788-1311.
