Potomac State College of West Virginia University summer classes begin on Monday, May 19th. 
The College will be offering classes in various subjects, dates and time slots to better accommodate students.  Other start dates are June 9th and June 30th with on-line classes beginning June 2nd through August 7th.
Courses being offered this summer include biology, chemistry and their labs, principles/problems of coaching, principles of human communication, human communication in the public context, life choices, computer applications, composition and rhetoric, short story and novel, music, weight training, American government, psychology, human development, world religions, sport in American society, sociology of rural life in Appalachia, microbiology, American literature, twentieth century Europe, algebra, history of jazz,  intermediate Spanish, elementary statistical inference and women’s studies.
The metro fee is in effect for Allegany and Garrett counties of Maryland, Bedford, Fayette, and Somerset counties of Pennsylvania and Frederick County, Virginia.  
Most classes are held Monday through Thursday for a six-week period.
