KEYSER – Students in Dianna Eary's class at Keyser Primary-Middle School once again took over the courtroom in the Mineral County Courthouse to present a mock trial before Circuit Court Judges Phil Jordan and Lynn Nelson.
KEYSER – Mineral County had three schools that reached or surpassed the board-imposed goal of 95 percent attendance rate for the 2010-2011 school year, and three more schools got within a half a percent of the goal.

ELK GARDEN - After being connected to Elk Garden School for 39 years as a student, teacher, coach, and principal, Charles Keller will be retiring and leaving the small mountain top community.
KEYSER – Shania Isenberg and Logan Stanislawczyk were awarded the 2011 Principal's Awards recently when Keyser Primary-Middle School held its annual eighth grade awards program in the theater at Keyser High School. Presented by Principal John Campbell, the Principal's Award is given to one boy and one girl in the eighth grade who display the most outstanding citizenship and academic performance during middle school. Other finalists for the prestigious award were: Mariah Ack, Zoey K. Harris, Annie Kesner, Sarah Markle, Sarah Page, Skylar Spanburgh, Brooke Staggers, Katie Wiltison, Reid Boden, Logan Bucklew, Avery Costilow, Justice Courrier, Daniel Haupt, Hunter Kasmier, Daniel Lewis, Logan Robinette, Jesse Shears, Ryan Streets, and Jesse Wilson.
