Betty Davis has been selected as the February "Partner of the Month" for the Pilgrim's Pride Moorefield fresh plant.
Ms. Davis works in the evisceration department on night shift and has worked for the company for 16 years. She has maintained an excellent attendance record during her employment, receiving several perfect attendance awards.
"Betty is an excellent team player, which is demonstrated by her selflessness. She arrives for work early to prepare for the night∂s job duties," Ted Shoemaker, Ms. Davis' supervisor, said. "She has a wonderful working relationship with her fellow co-workers, always helping out in what ever ways she can."
Ms. Davis is a two-time recipient of the Partner of the Month award, having been previously honored in February 2005.
The "Partner of the Month" is a program that has been implemented to recognize employees for their outstanding merit and work ethic.
"Betty always wears a smile and keeps a positive attitude," Shoemaker continued. "She is always a pleasure to be around even when she encounters a problem. Her work habits are excellent; she is absolutely the best at her job. Betty has a great safety ethic, which she demonstrates by insuring the work area is safe and ready for start up. She has also won the department safety award in the past."
Employees in the program have exhibited outstanding work characteristics in the categories of attendance, teamwork, attitude and job performance.
