CHARLESTON - Keyser High School computer graphics students were invited to visit the State Capitol and Cultural Center recently, as a result of taking first place in the high school division of Governor Justice and the First Lady’s statewide Christmas ornament competition.
This year’s holiday tree theme was gingerbread men. The class designed an ornament titled “Welcome Home.” It depicts a soldier coming home to his child next to a snowman inside a snow-globe.
While in Charleseton, the students had the opportunity to sight see, meet Governor Justice and the First Lady, and enjoy multiple high school marching and jazz band performances.
Student Ivory Baylor spoke during the celebration on behalf of the class’ design inspiration.
