KEYSER - The West Virginia University Potomac State College Gift Drive is a unique and special event in the Mineral County area.
PSC College students who are enrolled in the class, Intro to Event Logistics, are collecting gifts for local children and teens this Christmas!
The students are collecting a wide variety of gifts for children and teens, including: Dolls, Legos, sports equipment, books, perfume, jewelry, fishing equipment, wireless speakers, and bikes; however, any donation is appreciated!
Drop off locations are at the Potomac State Mary F. Shipper Library, Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and at the Queen’s Point Coffee Shop, Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Last year’s Intro to Event Logistics class was able to provide many families in the area and the students want to continue that tradition. All items will be distributed through local schools; however, specific requests may be made to instructor Amy Weaver at the college (contact information below).
Monetary donations are also welcome. Cash donations should be dropped off at the PSC Library in an envelope marked Gift Drive.  If donating by check, make it payable to WVU Foundation with PSC TOY DRIVE in the memo line.  Donations can also be mailed to: Potomac State College, Attn: Amy Weaver, 101 Fort Ave, Keyser, WV 26726.
Students are also working in cooperation with Fox’s Pizza Den in Keyser, and will be hosting a Spirit Day on Nov. 10, with a portion of sales going to support the gift drive.
For more information, contact Amy Weaver at 304-788-7145 or by email at: amy.weaver@mail.wvu.edu.
