KEYSER - A Keyser man was jailed after being charged with strangulation during a domestic call Friday, 0ct. 12.
Keyser City Police received a call at 5:54 p.m. from a female stating she had been struck and choked during a domestic altercation.
Officers responded to the 500 block of Carskadon where officers located and charged 42-year-old Jason Rotruck with strangulation. He was transported to Potomac Highland Regional Jail.
Officers also received a call earlier that evening at 5:10 p.m. for a complaint of someone living in a shed on the 100 block of Sharpless Street. Officers responded and found 41-year-old Kevin Mongold of Keyser. He was charged with public intoxication and was cited and released.
In more recent calls, officers responded Tuesday, Oct. 16, at 4 a.m. to the 110 block of West Piedmont for a call about two individuals with their faces painted and wearing dark clothing in front of a residence in the early hours of the morning.
Officers responded and confronted the individuals and they fled. The officers then located the two behind the Candlewyck Inn and charged 19-year-old Geoffrey Shears of Springfield and 19-year-old Shawn Gillum of Keyser with obstruction.
They were cited and released.
