SHORT GAP - As part of the numerous activities taking place this week during Homecoming Week at Frankfort High School, the Falcon Marching Band is pleased to welcome back 15 graduates who currently perform in collegiate marching bands.

The graduates will perform “The Star Spangled Banner” with the band during its pregame show on Friday, when Frankfort hosts Petersburg.
“It is always great to have our graduates return to Frankfort High for Homecoming,” commented principal Joe Riley.  “To have so many of our kids performing in college marching bands is a testament to our strong music program.  It is going to be an awesome experience for our kids and fans.”
Bailey Saville is a third-year member of the Marshall University Marching Thunder. Caden James and Hailee Whittington are both freshmen at Shepherd University and members of the Ram Band.
Twelve Frankfort graduates are currently members of the West Virginia University Mountaineer Marching Band:  Branson Anderson, Sara Brinsfield, Micah Buser, Lily Farabaugh, Garrett Grose, Al Hall, Nicole Nelson, Breanna Nestor, Hannah Rice, Sara Ruff, and Jerad White. Zachary Helminiak currently serves as one of the band’s four drum majors.
Helminiak, who is currently serving his fourth year as a member of “The Pride of West Virginia,” will conduct the National Anthem at Friday’s game.
“I’m extremely proud to be able to come home and participate in homecoming festivities with my Alma Mater!” he said.  “Being asked to conduct to national anthem is a real honor for me.”
The Frankfort – Petersburg game is set for a 7 p.m. kick-off.  Pregame will commence at 6:45 p.m.
