Baptist Ministers Conference

PETERSBURG - The Baptist Minister’s Conference of Petersburg and Vicinity will conduct its monthly meeting on Oct. 1 at 6:30 p.m. at Gilfield Baptist Church, 209 Perry Street in Petersburg. This will be the first meeting of the new season.

Big Bethel Baptist

McKENNEY - Big Bethel Baptist Church, 11010 Bolling Road, will celebrate the 10th anniversary of their pastor Rev. Alexander L. Williams during the 11 a.m. service on Sept. 16. Rev. Ronzel Pretlow, recording artist and pastor of the Church of Purpose in Newport News will be the guest speaker. All are invited. Carrying The Cross Ministries

PETERSBURG - Carrying The Cross Ministries, 2557-H S. Crater Road, will celebrate the 24th anniversary of Apostle Lorenzo Baines as pastor from Sept. 26 - 30. On Sept. 26, at 7 p.m., Bishop Clay Cofield and the Spirit of Fire Cathedral Church of Richmond will be in charge of the service. On Sept. 27 at 7 p.m., Minister William White of Kingdom Ministries of Columbus, GA, and his church family will render the service. On Sept. 28 at 7 p.m., Rev. Gregory Williams and the Morning Star Baptist Church of Petersburg will render the service. On Sept. 29 at 2 p.m. the service will be held at the Flagship Inn. Teresa Powell and Deacon Kenneth Bonner will be licensed as ministers. The anniversary celebration will close on Sept. 30 with a noon service at the church. The public is invited.

Central Baptist

CHURCH ROAD - Central Baptist Church, 6405 Courthouse Road, will hold a yard sale on Sept. 22 from 7 a.m. - 2 p.m. The cost to reserve a spot is $20; contact the church office at 804-265-8870 if interested. Christ and Grace Episcopal

Colonial Heights Presbyterian

COLONIAL HEIGHTS - Colonial Heights Presbyterian Church, 211 Lynchburg Avenue, will have guest minister Rev. Keith Johnston on Sept. 16 during their 11 a.m. service.
