KEYSER - Keyser High School will be hosting the eighth annual Cadence in the Valley band competition Saturday, Sept. 15, at Alumni Field.
A total of eight bands from the West Virginia/Maryland region have signed up to compete, with the Golden Tornado Band to perform in exhibition at the conclusion of the program.
Gates will open at 4 p.m. and the first band will take the field at 6 p.m., when competition in Division 1-A begins.
The schedule is as follows:
Division 1-A:
6 p.m.: Northern Garrett High School of Accident, Maryland.
6:15 p.m.: Southern Garrett High School of Oakland, Maryland.
6:30 p.m.: Pocahontas High School of Dunmore, West Virginia.
Division 3-O:
7 p.m.: Hedgesville High School of Hedgesville.
7:15 p.m.: Fort Hill High School of Cumberland.
7:30 p.m.: Mountain Ridge High School of Frostburg.
7:45 p.m.: Allegany High School of Cumberland.
Division 2-O:
8 p.m.: Petersburg High School.
Keyser is scheduled to perform at 8:15 p.m.
Cadence in the Valley is a Tournament of Bands sanctioned competition.
