FROSTBURG - Area law enforcement is on the lookout for a male suspect who robbed the M&T Bank on New Georges Creek Road in Frostburg at gunpoint this morning.


FROSTBURG - Area law enforcement is on the lookout for  a male suspect who robbed the M&T Bank on New Georges Creek Road in Frostburg at gunpoint this morning.
According to the Allegany County Combined Criminal Investigation unit (C3I), at approximately 9:30 a.m. Friday a lone suspect entered the M&T Bank and approached the counter. He provided a bank teller on duty with a note indicating that he wanted money from the bank.  
The suspect then displayed a handgun.  
The bank teller complied with the suspect’s demands and provided him with an undisclosed amount of money.  
The suspect left the business, and fled on foot, heading east.  No one was injured during the robbery.    
    The Allegany County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene and assistance was provided by members of the Maryland State Police, Frostburg City Police Department, Maryland State Police K-9 Units, C3I Criminal Investigation Unit and Federal Bureau of Investigations.
    The suspect was described as a male, wearing light colored work gloves, light colored shirt covered with a dark hooded jacket, dark pants and dark mask covering his face.  
The suspect was approximately six-feet tall and described to be of medium build.  He had the hood of the coat pulled up over his head and the mask covering up the majority of his face to disguise his face.
    Video surveillance in the bank was reviewed and photos of the suspect were obtained.
