KEYSER - United Way of Mineral County will once again hold their annual school supply drive on Friday, Aug. 17, from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. at Keyser Walmart.

Stuff the Bus is a United Way event and community-wide effort to collect school supplies for students in Mineral County. Walmart has served as a partner for eight years, allowing a bus to park at the store and collection boxes to be placed inside. Volunteers will be on location at both store entrances throughout the day to load supplies onto the bus.

“We look forward to this event each year. Our volunteers come out and have a lot of fun throughout the day”, says Mary Kaye Staggers, event coordinator for United Way of Mineral County.

Everyone can help by purchasing new supplies and dropping them off at Walmart throughout the day on Aug. 17. Supplies will be delivered to the Board of Education for distribution throughout the school year.

Any business or church that wishes to collect items is asked to contact County United Way at 301-722-2700 to arrange for a box delivery. Monetary donations are welcomed and can be sent to County United Way at 113A South Centre Street, Cumberland, MD 21502.
