CARPENDALE – Carpendale voters elected Dwight “Casey” Lambert as their new mayor Tuesday, with 107 votes over challenger Diane Baker's 50 votes.

CARPENDALE – Carpendale voters elected Dwight “Casey” Lambert as their new mayor Tuesday, with 107 votes over challenger Diane Baker’s 50 votes.
Voters also returned the sitting council to their seats, with Butch Armentrout returning to the council from the mayor’s post.
In the council race, Armentrout had 117 votes followed by Barbara “Bobbie” Cover and Mary Jo Hinton with 103 each, Clarence Murray with 93 and Virgil O’Neal with 92.
Challenger Jodi Miller received 75 votes and Vicki Hamilton received 30 votes in a write-in campaign.
The new council will take office in July.
