ELKINS -  Two Grant County residents were sentenced in federal court this week.
June Catherine Blanchek, of Petersburg, was sentenced Wednesday to 63 months incarceration for her role in a methamphetamine distribution operation, United States Attorney Bill Powell announced.
Blanchek, age 38, pled guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine in July 2017. She  admitted to working with others to distribute more than 50 grams of crystal meth in Grant County between September 2014 and December 2016.
A money judgement of $133,000 was also ordered.
Gary Smith, of Maysville,  was sentenced Tuesday to five years probation for his participation in a methamphetamine distribution operation, United States Attorney Bill Powell announced.
Smith, 66, pled guilty to one count of unlawful use of a communication facility in July 2017. Smith admitted to using a communication facility to possess methamphetamine in Grant County in November 2016.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephen D. Warner prosecuted both cases on behalf of the government, and the United States Postal Inspection Service and the West Virginia State Police investigated.
U.S. District Judge John Preston Bailey presided.
