KEYSER - The Mineral County Board of Education has approved revisions to the current calendar which will keep students in school through Tuesday, June 12.
The board had already changed March 30 and April 2 from out-of school days to curriculum development days. Although students did not have to be in the classroom on those days, they did lose their spring break - April 3-6.
In the latest revision, made necessary by the instructional day slost during the teacher’s strike in March, June 6, 7, 8, 11, and 12 have been changed to instructional days.
While the last day for students was June 6, it is now June 12 (which will be a half-day).
June 13,14,15,and 18 are now curriculum development days and preparation for school closing days, which means the teachers will be required to work.
