ELK GARDEN – Plans are shaping up for Saturday’s Easter parade in Elk Garden.
Parade line-up gets underway at noon and the parade will roll off at 1 p.m., traveling from Shady Side to the fire station.
The egg hunt will be broken down into age groups and everyone who wants to participate should be at the fire station at 2 p.m. for directions.
The United Methodist Church is sponsoring a steak dinner at the fire hall at 3 p.m. and weather permitting, everyone is invited to Blackrock Resort at 5 p.m. to watch the blue moon rising.
John Lecky of Blackrock Resort was on hand at the recent meeting to announce an upcoming Drone Day at Blackrock, planned for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 21, with a rain date of April 28.
He noted the day is being offered at no cost and in partnership with the Mineral County Chamber of Commerce, the Mineral County Sports Commission, Keyser Walmart and Blackrock Resort.

The town council will hold its next meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, at the town hall.
