FORT ASHBY, W.Va. — Firefighters from three counties responded to an early morning fire that heavily damaged a garage on the Craig Poland property near Fort Ashby Tuesday.

FORT ASHBY, W.Va. — Firefighters from three counties responded to an early morning fire that heavily damaged a garage on the Craig Poland property near Fort Ashby Tuesday.
No injuries were reported in the blaze which swept through the four-bay garage located offed Route 46 on Chas Deremer Road, causing an estimated $200,000 in damages.
The fire was first reported to the Mineral County 911 emergency center by a passerby at 7:29 a.m.
Volunteer fire departments from Mineral, Hampshire and Allegany counties responded to the scene, according to the Mineral County emergency center.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Fort Ashby department.
Firefighters remained on the scene until about noon.
He said the contents consisted of automotive parts and tools.
