HERSHEY, Pa. - The Keyser High School Golden Tornado Band finished its regular competition season this past weekend at the Atlantic Coast Championships in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and one band member came away with a scholarship.

HERSHEY, Pa. - The Keyser High School Golden Tornado Band finished its regular competition season this past weekend at the Atlantic Coast Championships in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and one band member came away with a scholarship.
With a score of 85.30, the Golden Tornado finished 18th in its class amidst some stiff competition from all over Maryland, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Band member Tanner Minney won a $1,000 scholarship from the Tournament of Bands National Judges Association.
The band’s next appearances will be at the Veteran’s Day Parade in Keyser on Friday, Nov. 10; the Keyser Christmas Parade on Friday, Dec. 1; and the Tri-Towns Christmas Parade on Thursday, Dec. 7.
Their annual Christmas concert will be Dec. 19 at 7 p.m. in the KHS theater.
