KEYSER - The Mineral County Board of Education has called a special meeting for Tuesday, Sept. 26, for the purpose of addressing some personnel and financial items.
Included in the agenda is the discussion and approval of superintendent Shawn Dilly’s goals for 2017-2018.
Dilly presented his proposed goals to the board during their Sept. 19 meeting, but told them he would like to pare down the list to “try to concentrate on a few” rather than trying to spread himself too thin.
In addition, there were only three BOE members present that night.
Board president Rob Woy asked Dilly and the board members to prioritize the goals, with plans of comparing lists during Tuesday’s special meeting.
“I think they’re all very worthwhile goals,” he added.
Also on the agenda, under finance, is a review and approval of the Fiscal 2017 annual report.
The board will also address several personnel items.
The meeting gets underway at 6 p.m. in the administrative office at 1 Baker Place and is open to the public.
