JENNINGS RANDOLPH LAKE - Maryland Natural Resources Police are investigating a suspected drowning Wednesday afternoon at Jennings Randolph Lake.
The call came in as a drowning shortly after 3 p.m., with Corps of Engineers park rangers directing emergency crews to the Howell boat launch on the West Virginia side of the lake.
Dive teams from area fire departments were called to the scene, along with fire departments and EMS crews from Mineral, Allegany and Garrett counties.
According to on-air reports, there were two persons on a boat in the lake, with one being the deceased and the second being transported to an area hospital via ambulance.
