KEYSER - Tickets are now on sale for the annual Mineral County Business and Volunteer Recognition Dinner, scheduled for Friday, Aug. 11, at the Davis Conference Center.
Co-sponsored by the Mineral County Chamber of Commerce and Development Authority, the dinner will celebrate the best and brightest businesses and volunteers in the county.
Awards will be given out for Large Business of the Year, Small Business of the Year, New Business of the Year, and Longstanding Business.
A Business Student of the Year will also be honored.
In the “Service Above Self” category, the chamber will honor those who have gone above and beyond in service to their community.
Among the awards is the Harry Alt Award, named in memory of the late Harry Alt, a long-time educator, firefighter and volunteer in Mineral County.
While some awards are announced beforehand, others are kept as a surprise to be announced during the dinner.
Tickets are $22 and may be reserved by calling the chamber at 304-788-2513 today.
