KEYSER - Nine area businesses are currently accepting donations of school supplies as the United Way of Mineral County gears up for its annual Stuff the Bus drive on Friday, Aug. 11.

KEYSER - Nine area businesses are currently accepting donations of school supplies as the United Way of Mineral County gears up for its annual Stuff the Bus drive on Friday, Aug. 11.
The drive accepts donations of a variety of school supplies which are distributed to Mineral County School children once they are back in the classroom.
Among the suggested supplies are: Backpacks, pencils, pens, colored pencils, crayons, book covers, small tissue packs, notebook paper, three-ring binders, erasers, flash cards, three-prong folders with pockets, three-subject spiral notebooks, one-subject spiral notebooks, glue sticks, composition books, washable markers, pencil cases, rulers, scissors, index cards, rulers and folders.
Among the businesses accepting donations from now until Aug. 11 are: BB&T Bank in both Keyser and Fort Ashby, Lifetime Dreams Realty in Short Gap, First Peoples in Short Gap, Frankfort Senior Center in Short Gap, Chaney Buskirk Insurance in Wiley Ford, the First United Bank & Trust in Keyser and Piedmont and Cowboy’s Bargain Outlet in Fort Ashby.
Those wishing to donate items may drop them off at one of those locations, or hold on to them and bring them to the Keyser Wal-mart parking lot on Friday, Aug. 11, where a Mineral County School bus will be parked to accept the donations from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Cash donations will also be accepted.
