KEYSER - West Virginia State Police have arrested four Keyser area residents in connection with a string of burglaries that have occurred over the past few months.
In April, the  Keyser Detachment WVSP began investigating the burglaries and began to link them and possible suspects to each other as well as with other agencies’ investigations, thus determining there were mutual suspects who were part of a large burglary ring working together.
During the following months, the State Police worked with the Keyser Police Department, Mineral County Sheriff’s Department, Allegany County Sheriff’s Department, and members of the West Virginia State Police Tucker County Detachment.
The joint effort culminated in the execution of multiple search warrants, as well as interviews of multiple persons of interest.
The joint investigative efforts also lead to a recovery of approximately $20,000 worth of stolen property.
As of July 2017, 21-year-old Travis Disney, 20-year-old Richard Thompson, 35-year-old Danielle Bean, and 42-year-old Daniel Bean, all of Keyser, have been arrested for various charges in connection with the burglary ring.
An overview of charges filed includes burglary, breaking and entering, breaking and entering of an automobile, conspiracy, transferring/receiving stolen property, prohibited person in possession of a firearm, possession of CDS, grand larceny, and petit larceny.
According to a spokesman for the State Police, a total of over 50 charges have been filed against the four, not counting charges filed that might be filed in Tucker County or Allegany County, Maryland.
Disney is currently incarcerated in the Potomac Highlands Regional Jail in lieu of $37,000 cash bond.
The ATF has also been involved in communication with investigating members  as a result of the firearm charge.
