KEYSER - Keyser will be celebrating the Fourth of July with an afternoon music and vendor festival at the South End Park.
The event is scheduled from 2-9 p.m. and will feature music by Ally Norris from 3-5 p.m. and Nacho & Chili of the group Crazy Nights from 6-9 p.m.
Food vendors will be offering traditional summer treats, and other vendors will be set up as well.
In addition, a Fourth of July parade is scheduled for downtown Keyser at 4:30 p.m. and is being sponsored by Club Tropix, a new business scheduled to open at the former Outback on West Piedmont Street.
The Fourth of July celebration is just one of several musical events scheduled for Keyser’s South End Park, under the direction of parks and recreation commissioner Jen Junkins and the Parks and Recreation Committee.
Local bluegrass favorite Highland Grass is scheduled to kick off the schedule on Friday, June 30.
Extreme Entertainment will provide a DJ on Friday, July 7, Sirens on Sunday is scheduled for Friday, July 14; Solid Gold on Friday, July 21; Exteme Entertainment again on Friday, July 28; and Black Velvet on Saturday, July 29.
All times are from 6-9 p.m.
Vendors are being encouraged to set up for each of the events, and the application and further information can be found online on the City of Keyser’s facebook page.
