ELKINS – Jason Wayne Russell, 39, of Moorefield, was sentenced to 33 months incarceration for distributing heroin, according to acting United States Attorney Betsy Steinfeld Jividen.

ELKINS – Jason Wayne Russell, 39, of Moorefield, was sentenced to 33 months incarceration for distributing heroin, according to acting United States Attorney Betsy Steinfeld Jividen.
Russell collaborated with other individuals to travel to and from Baltimore to distribute heroin in June 2015. He pled guilty to one count of interstate rravel in furtherance of a drug crime in August 2016.  
Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephen D. Warner prosecuted the case on behalf of the government. The Potomac Highlands Drug & Violent Crimes Task Force and the Hardy County Sheriff’s Office investigated.
U.S. District Judge John Preston Bailey presided.
